03. How to Create and Manage Forms

By clicking on Forms, you can build forms and store them in the asset library for use later with your landing pages. Here's a short video that describes the basics of the form builder. 

Using the form in a Capture Leads blueprint is very easy. Open up the landing page editor in the Capture Leads Blueprint, and select the form, that you would like to use, from the drop-down, as shown in the diagram below.

Let us now discuss some of the advanced things that you can do with the forms.

1) Adding a field with pre-set values, such as a drop-down or a radio button


2) What is special about the field type "Date and Time"?

A field of type "Date and Time", when used in a form, allows the respondent to provide a date and a time entry, e.g., a requested appointment time at an auto dealership for a test drive.  When the user saves the campaign that includes a form with a field of type "Date and Time", the system provides an option to create a text message-based reminder to the respondent.


3) How to add a field with Checkbox?


4) How to create a text line in a form, without any form input? A good example is when a checkbox is shown to opt-in to receiving offers over text messages. There can be a text line just below that says "Msg & Data Rates apply".


5) How to add a multi-line text area where users can enter several lines of text, e.g. a review.


6) How to create a field of type "scale". These fields are mainly used in surveys - for example, to ask questions like - "How do you rate us on a scale of 1 to 10".


7) What is a hidden field and how do you use it? How to pre-populate a value in a hidden field?


8) How to do form field branching? In other words, how to show various fields at the form level based on answers to other questions in the form. Pl see this instructional video below.


9) How to create a form for use with the Send to Friend option in a Capture Leads blueprint?

Please see the screenshot below where the red arrow points to the box that needs to be checked if a form is to be used as part of the Send to Friend process.

Once you do that, in the page settings section of the Capture Leads blueprint, you can choose the form, as shown below. You can get more information about the Send to Friend process HERE.
