03. How do I Schedule Posts to Facebook from the Blueprint Editor?

Modified on Tue, 18 Jun at 10:59 AM

In this article, we'll talk about the other way to send outbound messages, which is using Facebook Posts. If you want to know more about how to just send email blasts, click HERE.

In the Drive Traffic campaign, select the tab “Configure your Outbound Messages”, and select the Facebook tab underneath.

Once you are in the Facebook tab, you will see that the content of the Facebook post is copied automatically from the landing page. You are able to sign on to a Facebook account, select a page where you want to post this message (if you have access to more than one page) and type in your own comments that will enhance the post.

Please note: we are connecting to a web page hosted outside of MindFire, (i.e. nba.com) as in the screenshot below, the components of the Facebook post will be pulled from that page.

You can either schedule it by clicking on the blue button on the right called Facebook Settings or directly clicking on the Save button which brings out a dialog box that allows you to input the schedule for the post.

It's important to note that the post must be more than 10 minutes (in the future) from the current time, based on Facebook post requirements. MindFire will give you an error message if you try to post too quickly, as shown below.

When the post is scheduled, you will see a notification on the top right, as well as it will be added to the notification tab in MindFire.

Eventually, the post will show up on Facebook, and when you click on it, you will be taken to the landing page.

When you click on the post, you will be taken to the landing page. If it is a MindFire managed landing page, it will be without a personalized URL. So if you have personalized variables on the page, it will look weird - please be careful about that. Click HERE to learn how to use default variables in case you don't want your page to look strange to folks who visit without a PURL.
